Reported short interest of 12,169,782 at that settlement date equals 34.1 percent of shares outstanding. The July 31, 2026 figure is the last reported reading before stockholders approved the exercise of 16,184,560 warrants on August 3, 2026.

In May and June 2025, reported short interest roughly doubled and then unwound within two weeks on each occasion. In the October 2025 to December 2025 period it rose and continued rising for three months. In the autumn of 2024, average daily volume exceeded 7 million shares while reported short interest remained under 105,000.
